Top Secret

Those of you who know my secret know where I wore this outfit Tuesday. I thought this dress up in my head (don't know how or why, it just came into my head) and then I found it in the first shop I looked in.
.............................weird...................................

Why Not

This is a picture I found on the camera from August when Brian had to go to Tunisia to shoot. We never get to see BRIAN very much on this blog, which is because we don't get to see Brian very much in real life, which is because he's always working his "bum" off! So now you can see the size of the teenie weeny equipment he has to lug around in the blazing heat or freezing cold.
Makes Skyla and my purse seem like feathers.

Enough Said

Look Closely

We went to the playgroup that I told you about before. She wanted to play dress-up, and this is how she ended up. I took advantage of having my picture taken with the Vegas version of the Statue of Liberty. The rest of the time I spent in a tent inside reading children's books to a group of children that love to hear all of my character voices. They kept scooting closer and closer to me until they were all leaning on me as I read.
I LOVE IT!!!!! I was like that Feed The Birds woman from Mary Poppins----only feeding children stories.
Yeah.
Oh, and on the way to the playgroup, I tripped on the street and totally fell all the way over. I tore my pants and really jacked up my knee. Oh my god it was hilarious. I was embarrassed only because an elderly woman actually handed me my shoe and helped me up...in front of a long line of cars stopped at a light with nothing to watch but me.
Mmm.

Piece Out, Plants

One night ten days or so ago, it snowed. Maybe, 5mm? Well the next day Skyla and Joseph made the MOST of it, and spent all afternoon making the biggest snowman they could....On a bench. This is the two of them contemplating any finishing touches that might be needed.

Then this is Cath, my new found friend that mothers the boy named Joseph. We see each other 1-2 times a week for coffee and museum/park/playgroup activities. I love her. I only have one picture of her, sorry. I didn't want to be weird and ask her on our first outing together to let me take a picture of her so I could prove to my friends and family back in Michigan that I do now have One Friend.

Then yes, back to the kids---they've done it. Completed the snowboy. I found him with those yellow things sticking out of him and asked what they were-----oh they were just the PLANT markers for the building next to us THAT ARE THERE SO THE PLANTS DON'T GET MOWED OVER...... Great job kids. Great job.

For Breakfast, Too!

I made an APPLE PIE!!! The crust and everything! I even grew the apples!!!! Shut up no I didn't. But I did really make the pie and crust. It was a hit, because Skyla got so full on the sugar she couldn't finish her piece. Brian said he never has seen that much sugar poured into one bowl before and he had to turn the other way to keep from feeling sick. It was in the recipe......
Anyway. You are what you eat. Look at Skyla. She's sweet, then tart.

Anything You Can Do, I Can Do...

Whatever I have, Skyla wants. But she doesn't want MINE, she just wants one for her, just LIKE mine. So I was cooking the other day, and I use those good old fashioned brown wooden peg clips to keep my used bags shut. When I opened my drawer to get another one out to use, suddenly, I noticed it had been pried apart, and all that was left were the wooden peg halves. Where did that silver spring part go?? I found it later as she pranced around the house waving her hands more than usual as she spoke. She's so subtle sometimes it's worrisome.

Woa Oh Oh, oh oh ohh oh-oh....

Skyla has many songs that are "her" songs. ALL THE SINGLE LADIES by Beyonce is one of them. I had to get her down off of the bar stool while she was in the middle of eating so she could dance to her song. See the EMOTION in her eyes? She's ill. This is her though! She asked me to take a picture of her while she danced to her song.... There you are.

Read It and Weep

For those of you who don't already recognize the babies here, or cannot read the obvious labels, or simply can't figure it out despite knowing the babies and their labels: This is Baby Skyla on the left and my sister's Baby Joseph (not to be confused with Skyla's new best friend Joseph from Scotland) on the right. Sometimes I see pictures on Danielle's blog that really make me think of pictures I have taken years ago. I thought it'd be fun to show you just what goes on in my head sometimes.

OCD?

This is Skyla's new BEST friend. We met him at a park sometime this last week, and Mommy made good friends with his Mummy Cath. We went to our first playgroup here in Scotland and had a blast! Skyla's invisible friend Joey even got LOST in our apartment when we were going to dinner with this little boy's parents this past Sunday (so Cath could meet Brian and I could meet Cath's hubby Stewart). Baby Joseph is Skyla's cousin. Joey is her long-lived invisible "son," and "brother" and "prince," but the little boy in the picture----her newest BESTEST friend...
Well HIS name is Jospeh.
Of course.

Sneeker

Yeah. Skyla did something funny in the car. See that hat? That's Brian's. He didn't want to wear it in the car, so he put it on the shoulder of his seat. Skyla sits behind him, so while I was chatting away with Daddy, she slying slides the hat off of his chair and puts it on her head saying nothing.
I turn around at some point in time to smile at her, and end up laughing in shock.
Had to take the photo to tell the story.
Puh, and you thought I just spelled sneaker wrong...
